CALL FOR ENTRY VII SPLITGRAPHIC 2015 – RULES AND REGULATIONS

The rules and regulations for application and participation in VII Splitgraphic 2015 are stated below.
They relate to participation in Online gallery and group exhibition of VII Splitgraphic 2015.
The competition is international and open for all artists.
The competition is open to all printmaking graphic media, classical and contemporary including graphic installations.
The competition includes application for the Splitgraphic Online gallery and the group exhibition.
The concept of the VII Splitgraphic biennial 2015 is “Graphic Art as the Visual Language of Today”.
Artist may apply up to three (3) works to the competition.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE VII SPLITGRAPHIC 2015 IS THE FOLLOWING:
Each artist may apply on the Splitgraphic web site under APPLICATION.
Each artist may upload up to three works under APPLICATION.
After the artwork upload on Splitgraphic website they will appear in the ONLINE GALLERY, but only after the artwork is manually approved by Splitgraphic. The artwork will not automatically appear in the GALLERY after the upload.
Everyone may vote for the applied and exhibited artworks in Splitgraphic Online gallery. The artwork with most votes will win ARTIST’S AWARD. The award includes 500-euro prize (solo exhibition during VIII Splitgraphic biennial 2017 and pages in catalogue including biography and work reproductions).
You may vote by clicking on each work in the online gallery.
Online gallery on Splitgraphic web site will be available for viewing by the end of Splitgraphic 2015. After Splitgraphic 2015 ends the exhibited artwork will remain for view on the web site.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 1st August 2015
The size of each artwork is limited to B1 size, which does not exclude diptychs, triptychs and polyptychs composed of the graphic prints of B1 size.
After the deadline from the online gallery the jury will select the works that are selected for the group exhibition.
SENDING THE PRINTS – artists selected by the jury for the gorup exhibition will be nitified via e-mail about posting their graphics to Split.
ONLY THE ARTISTS WHOSE GRAPHICS ARE CHOSEN BY THE JURY SEND THEIR PRINTS TO SPLIT.
Splitgraphic is not responsible for any lost or damage that may happen in the post (when receiving or returning works). We are only responsible for the tubes and parcels that we receive.
We strongly recommend posting the prints using ordinary post office service using priority mail, ems or parcels, as it turned out to be the most efficient.
Please send your prints without any frames, passe-partouts or any other equipment.
Please note on your parcel: PRINT MATTER – NO COMMERCIAL VALUE – FOR EXHIBITION ONLY.
All prints that do not respect above stated rules would be returned on the cost of the sender.
VII SPLITGRAPHIC 2015 AWARDS:
GRAND PRIX 2015 (1000 euro – solo exhibition during VIII Splitgraphic 2017, pages in catalogue that include work reproductions, biography and critical texts about the artist’s oeuvre)

All artists that have applied to VII Splitgraphic 2015 will be in the catalogue.
Competition results, jury selection and awards will be available on Splitgraphic web- site.
It is possible to donate your prints to Splitgraphic collection.
All prints will be returned after ALL exhibitions and events of VII Splitgraphic 2015 are finished. The print return will begin in December 2015 and last during January and February 2016.
APPLICATION FEE for Splitgraphic 2015 is 50 euro.

- “THE BODY: Lithuanian Graphic Art 1980-2013”, October 2015, University library Split
In collaboration with Vilnius Graphic Art Centre, Lithuania. Curators of the exhibition will hold a lecture on Lithuanian Graphic Art and the work of Vilnius Graphic Art Centre.
- Solo exhibition by MARTA LECH (Poland), winner of Splitgraphic GRAND PRIX 2013, November 2015, University library Split
The artist Marta Lech will hold a lecture on her work and linocut workshop.
